has been operating internet services since 1999
including the promotion of educational and vocational development through
various trading initiatives. Its pioneering and successful business roots go
back
over 30 years.
Because there became such a
phenomenal demand for the online recruitment service which started during
2005, in May 2009 the company expanded onto the high street with The
Employers Agency, yet another unique and exciting development for the jobs
scene in Bridlington and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
This new head office on St John
Street, Old Town, Bridlington, is also home to:

Yorkshire Community Accountancy (ERYCA)
Martin Crossland, one partner
and former Community Accountant at East Riding Voluntary Action Services Ltd (ERVAS)
has now set up an independent accounting company which will focus on
the continued provision of quality accounts preparation and independent
examination services, book-keeping and payroll services to all community
groups, organisations and registered charities within the East Riding of
Yorkshire.
Martin, who was instrumental in the success of the ERVAS pilot project -
which ran as a partnership through Humberside Community Accountancy and was
financed via ChangeUp funding during 2006 and 2007 - left there to develop
his new initiative called ERYCA. Although funding ceased for the
original project in September 2007, he has continued to provide accountancy
services to groups, resulting in the formation of eryca.co.uk and they will
further develop these services as a 'Not For Private Profit' operation.
In 2004, following relocation to
Bridlington, the partnership became aware of the opportunities not only for
business expansion, but also for the benefit of the area and its population
through utilising their expertise, ethos and commitment to regeneration
programmes. The establishment of the jobsite was achieved by using the
experience gained within the voluntary and community sectors, working
primarily within areas focused around community development, employment,
training and assisting local businesses to thrive.
The continued success of Token House is due partly because
browsing for jobs online, is the fastest growing internet trend, currently
in the top 5 just behind holidays/travel and one of the main contributing
factors why the sales of newspapers have declined more than 750 million
copies per year since the 1990's. Research shows that recruiters prefer
niche jobsites, rather than national ones, as these return better results -
one of the reasons why now more than 70% of all East Yorkshire businesses
have already had recruitment adverts featured on the job site since its
launch. This includes one of the region's larger employers Ebuyer incorporating
Wren Kitchens plus the popular local employers sited at Hornsea
Freeport.
East Yorkshire Jobs: BridJobs was created specifically
to cater to the needs of the growing local population in this new millennium
and to improve the prosperity of the area. Towns surrounding Bridlington are
also now benefiting too, as they have very quickly become the preferred
recruitment portal for the whole East Riding region.
As with ERYCA any profits made from revenue collected via
the jobs sites will be invested back into further development for the benefit
of the area. What was once the traditional way of promoting employment
opportunities for the town and the region is no more - recruiting via the
internet is the future, recruiting good staff with your local jobsite is the present.
No other medium gives you access to the majority of current jobs in
Bridlington, a very large selection of all the jobs in East Yorkshire at
this time, plus every single job currently on offer at East Riding Of
Yorkshire Council. Because of this, many in the area involved with
